Ukrainian forces blew up the Sudzha gas metering station in Russia's Kursk Region on the night of March 20, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Friday.
The Ukrainian attack on Sudzha's gas metering station in the Kursk Region is an "act of warmongers in Europe," Associate Professor Mehmet Perinçek told Sputnik.

“There are two different fronts on the Ukraine issue. On one side of this front, we see the Russian and US initiatives trying to reach peace. On the other side, we see the hawks in Europe and England trying to continue the war and still trying to drag Ukraine into Russia’s hands. Countries and governments such as England, France, and Germany do not want the Ukraine war to end and are trying to sabotage the Putin-Trump initiative," he said.

Perinçek pointed to the inconsistent behavior of the Kiev regime since the start of the war. He stated that Ukraine initially agreed to some of Russia's security demands before the operation, but then rejected them under pressure from former US President Joe Biden. Perinçek thinks that the process will not move forward as long as Zelensky remains in power because Kiev's word cannot be trusted.

Kiev Blew Up Kursk's Sudzha Gas Metering Station Overnight, Russian Defense Ministry Says
The repair of the Sudzha gas metering station, a critical point for European gas shipments, is expected to take at least 2.5 years. This action by Ukraine is seen as a violation of agreements with former US President Donald Trump and undermines efforts by Hungary and Slovakia to maintain Russian gas supplies to Europe.
