Ukrainian forces on the night of March 20 blew up the Sudzha gas metering station in Russia's Kursk Region, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Friday. The station, which had previously transported over 40 million cubic meters of gas per day, has been under Ukrainian control since August 7, 2024, it added. The act by Kiev's forces retreating from the Kursk region was a "deliberate provocation carried out by the Kiev regime that should be considered in the context of other recent strikes on Russian energy infrastructure aiming to undermine peace initiatives of US President [Donald Trump]," the ministry added.

Ukrainian forces on the night of March 20 blew up the Sudzha gas metering station in Russia's Kursk Region, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Friday.

The station, which had previously transported over 40 million cubic meters of gas per day, has been under Ukrainian control since August 7, 2024, it added.
