Twenty-four members will be directly elected in single-member constituencies, while the remaining nine will be elected by the three Comoros assemblies. Seventeen seats are required for a party to secure a majority. Opposition parties have vowed to boycott the elections after incumbent President Azali Assoumani, who has been in power since 1999, was reelected for his fourth term in January 2024.
