In October, Sputnik Africa began broadcasting in Guinea on Galaxie FM at 94.5 FM every day during prime time. In total, our broadcasts are accessible on the FM band in Nigeria, Cameroon, Niger, and Mali in addition to Guinea.
Sputnik Africa is expanding its broadcasting network in Nigeria, the most populous country in Africa, located on the Gulf of Guinea.
Sputnik's new partner in Nigeria is S. Radio. Now you can listen to Sputnik's English-language broadcasts on 105.9 FM in the country's capital, Abuja, and on 104.1 FM in Nigeria's second-largest city, Kano, the capital of the namesake state.
"We see that Sputnik content resonates with African radio listeners; people want to have a full picture of what is happening in the world. In our radio programs, we discuss what the mainstream [media] is silent about," said Olga Lisogor, Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Director of the United Directorate of Foreign Broadcasting of Rossiya Segodnya, Sputnik's parent media holding.
In May this year, Sputnik launched broadcasting in Cross River State in southern Nigeria, available at 105.5 FM, Calabar radio station.
