The Tanzania's Public-Private Partnership Center (PPPC) portfolio spans diverse sectors, including transport, public works, energy, fisheries, health, tourism, and water.
The Tanzanian Public-Private Partnership Center is mobilizing at least 25 trillion Tanzanian shillings ($9 billion) to finance major infrastructure and development projects in various sectors, with more than 84 projects currently underway.

"The projects under PPPC are at various stages—agreement, feasibility studies, evaluation, procurement, and concept development," PPPC Executive Director David Kafulila told a parliamentary committee on Monday. "Key projects, such as the $340 million Kibaha-Chalinze road and the $1 billion construction of ring roads, are progressing well."

A significant focus of the PPPC's efforts is the Dar es Salaam Development Corporation project, which involves the construction of a $37 billion modern commercial complex in the bustling Kariakoo district of Dar es Salaam.

Kafulila also noted that the Tanzania Railways Corporation is conducting feasibility studies for a new railway line connecting Kariakoo with Mlimani City and Tegeta.
The PPPC head emphasized the need for all stakeholders to strictly adhere to legal frameworks to ensure the long-term sustainability of these projects.
He also commended President Samia Suluhu Hassan's reforms, which have fostered increased trade and investment in the country over the past three years.
