TEL AVIV (Sputnik) - The Israel Defense Forces said last Saturday that it had struck military targets in Iran in response to the October 1 attacks on the Jewish state. CBS News reported that the Israeli attack on Iran was limited to military assets and did not target nuclear or oil facilities.
Israel currently has "more options than ever before" to attack Iran, and it is able to reach any target it wants, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday.
"Today, Israel has more options in Iran than ever before. We can reach any place in Iran depending on our needs," Netanyahu said at a graduation ceremony for Israeli military officers.
Israel's most important objective is to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, the prime minister added.
"Our thoughts are focused on the nuclear issue, and we do not take our eyes off this higher goal. I cannot describe in detail our plans to achieve this goal, for obvious reasons," Netanyahu said.
