The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) "obviously doesn't want to let go and wants to continue escalating towards a war that could become a world war," French politician Florian Philippot comments on Russian President Vladimir Putin's peace proposal."We are increasingly fed up, and we must continue to work for peace," Philippot added. And yet, in his opinion, the situation is very similar to that of March 2022 at the Istanbul Summit, "when there was already a first attempt at peace that almost succeeded."This was "prevented at the last moment by NATO, which sent Boris Johnson to forbid Zelensky to sign the peace agreement, although it had been accepted by both sides."Now "it is a good time" for Russian demands, which "are not extravagant" and "seem acceptable," the politician added. The NATO, however, immediately rejected the latest peace proposal, declaring that more than 300,000 men could already be mobilized by the alliance, according to him.According to French analyst Xavier Moreau, this peace proposal was NATO and Ukraine's "ultimate chance" to save the latter's access to the Black Sea.

NATO Wants to Escalate Towards War That Could Become World War: Politician on Putin's Peace Proposal
16:04 15.06.2024 (Updated: 11:12 17.06.2024) On Friday, Russian leader Vladimir Putin outlined conditions for a ceasefire in the Ukraine conflict. They include the withdrawal of Kiev's troops from Donbass and Novorossiya and the neutral, non-aligned, non-nuclear status of Ukraine. The latter dismissed the peace initiative.
The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) "obviously doesn't want to let go and wants to continue escalating towards a war that could become a world war," French politician Florian Philippot comments on Russian President Vladimir
Putin's peace proposal."I think public opinion in Western countries, in France and elsewhere, no longer follows. There are too many deaths, too much damage, too many economic difficulties, and fatigue," the leader of the party Les Patriotes told Sputnik Africa.
"We are increasingly fed up, and we must continue to work for peace," Philippot added.
And yet, in his opinion, the situation is very similar to that of March 2022 at the Istanbul Summit, "when there was already a first attempt at peace that almost succeeded."
This was "prevented at the last moment by NATO, which sent Boris Johnson to forbid Zelensky to sign the peace agreement, although it had been accepted by both sides."
Now "it is a good time" for
Russian demands, which "are not extravagant" and "seem acceptable," the politician added.
The NATO, however, immediately rejected the latest peace proposal, declaring that more than 300,000 men could already be mobilized by the alliance, according to him.
According to French analyst Xavier Moreau, this peace proposal was NATO and Ukraine's "
ultimate chance" to save the latter's access to the Black Sea.
