Earlier in the month, the head of Russian state-owned defense corporation Rostec, Sergey Chemezov, said his company was completing certification of an import-substituted version of the domestic SSJ New aircraft. Works on the production of prototypes of the import-substituted SSJ New with the PD-8 engine were also postponed as the production time was rescheduled for 2022-2024, according to the document. SSJ New is the new version of Russian passenger plane Sukhoi Superjet-100 with more domestically-made components. It is part of Russia's campaign to decrease dependence on imports initiated following the two large waves of economic sanctions in 2014 and 2022. Ladoga is a turboprop regional passenger aircraft with 40–50 seats, designed to replace the fleet of outdated airliners of state aviation and regional airlines.

Russia Postpones Certification of Homegrown SSJ-New Plane Until 2025: Government Decree
MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russia has postponed the completion of certification of the homegrown SSJ New passenger plane from 2023 to 2025 and certification of the Ladoga passenger plane from 2024 to 2027, according to government decrees published on its official legal portal on Friday.
Earlier in the month, the head of Russian state-owned defense corporation Rostec, Sergey Chemezov, said his company was completing certification of an import-substituted version of the domestic SSJ New aircraft.
