Earlier, eight civilians were injured as a result of another the Ukrainian attack on Russia's Belgorod region, local governor Vyacheslav Gladkov revealed. He also added that over 40 private households were damaged.
A residential building in Belgorod was damaged by fragments of a shot down Ukrainian Tochka-U projectile, Russia's defense ministry reported. The Kiev regime committed a terrorist attack on residential areas of the city using Tochka-U, Olkha and RM-70 vampire projectiles, the ministry noted.
About 18 people were injured due to the collapse of the building, Russia's Acting Health Minister Mikhail Murashko disclosed. The evacuation of residents of the building is underway, the region's emergency services added, noting that a child was pulled from under the rubble. Two roads near the site were temporarily closed, according to local authorities.
Rescuers work at the site, the attic and the roof collapsed in the Belgorod building, a Sputnik's correspondent reported. Three rescuers were injured when the roof collapse, civilians may have been under the rubble, the region's emergency services said, highlighting that almost the entire apartment building was damaged by an explosion, about 16 apartments collapsed.

Apart from rescuers, medics are working at the site, as well as local residents, who help to remove the rubble and cars from under the pile of concrete that collapsed on them. Along with the local residents, the region's governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reportedly helped clear debris at the site.
Earlier, according to Gladkov, several targets were shot down by the Russian military near the Belgorod city, with Kiev's attack leaving a total of eight civilians injured and damaging over 40 private households in the region.
Other Russian regions, namely the Kursk and Volgograd regions, came under the Ukrainian attacks, Russian Defense Ministry reported on Saturday, adding that 21 rockets and nine drones were destroyed over these regions.
