BRICS represents the grouping of major emerging economies that are seen as significant players in the global economy. The organization comprises nations such as Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, and, as of January, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
Joining BRICS is an ideal choice for Eswatini, the country's foreign ministry said in an analytical report.
Now is the optimal time for Eswatini to apply for BRICS membership, the ministry stated, adding that the nation will greatly benefit from joining the bloc by expanding foreign economic relations, increasing exports and gaining access to different markets.
Eswatini will be able to receive funding for its infrastructure projects from the New Development Bank, created by BRICS members, the body highlighted.
