The World Youth Festival being held in the Sirius Federal Territory shows that Russia embraces different cultures and nationalities, revealing a new world order of multipolarity, Dr. John Aggrey, CEO of the Ghana Russia Center for Commerce and Relations and the head of the Ghanaian delegation in the WYF, told Sputnik Africa.He explained that multipolarity offers African nations the right to choose their business partners and the sovereignty to choose their development path.However, the head of the delegation stressed that the right of African countries to choose the best option within the multipolar system will not be in favor of Western countries, which will put obstacles in the way.He said that with greater representation of the continent in the G20 and the UN Security Council, which Russia supports, African countries would have more power than the West "because everything they need, we have it."In addition, the festival participant spoke in favor of African countries trading through the BRICS platform and national currencies, instead of trading in dollars "where your own currency is not respected".He also warned African nations against accepting aid from the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).This year the World Youth Festival is hosting 20,000 Russian and foreign young leaders in business, media, international cooperation, culture, science, education, volunteering and charity work, sports, various spheres of public life, as well as youth representing various children's organizations and associations.The event, which runs through March 7, is taking place at the same venues used during the 2014 Olympic Games.Sputnik is the information partner of the World Youth Festival.

On March 1, the world's largest youth festival kicked off in the Russia's federal territory Sirius. The World Youth Festival is a platform for open dialogue and exchange of opinions, where everyone can express their point of view and be heard, unite to solve social problems and help each other to build a just world.

Dr. John Aggrey, CEO of the Ghana Russia Center for Commerce and Relations and the head of the Ghanaian delegation in the WYF, told
Sputnik Africa.
He explained that multipolarity offers African nations the right to choose their business partners and the sovereignty to choose their development path.
"Russia has exceeded expectations looking at a different culture, at different nationalities and people. I would say that a new world order is what we need now. Multipolarity and multilateralism is the new world order and a must-see because everyone has a sovereignty to be what they want to be," Aggrey said.
However, the head of the delegation stressed that the right of African countries
to choose the best option within the multipolar system will not be in favor of Western countries, which will put obstacles in the way.
"So, they [Western countries] are doing everything possible to make sure that this system does not work for Africa so that new colonialism continues, and that is what they have started doing and with the traits of South Africa and other countries. It is time we Africans need to be our own. We need to decide for ourselves and also work with friendly nations like Russia," Aggrey pointed out.
He said that with greater representation of the continent in the G20 and the UN Security Council,
which Russia supports, African countries would have more power than the West "because everything they need, we have it."
"So, we are going to be the one to decide, we are going to be the one to push the agendas that will best suit us. And with how our natural resources are being taken, all these things are going to be put to stop and Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso have already started, and this is the way others are also going to go for it," the CEO remarked.
In addition, the festival participant spoke in favor of African countries trading through the BRICS platform and national currencies, instead of trading in dollars "where your own currency is not respected".
He also warned African nations against accepting aid from the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
"It is my wish that most African countries move away from the World Bank and IMF because at the end of over 50 years they have not offered us anything better. They give you the money but at the same time you are still, there's still nothing in your country," Aggrey underlined. "BRICS has a better option for us."
