"As for the dead. I must say at once that the number of victims will increase significantly," Vorobiev told reporters.
On Saturday morning, the rescuers entered the burned out auditorium of the Crocus City Hall, and the situation there remains difficult, which is why technical work is being carried out around the clock, the governor added.
"Accordingly, when we remove the debris, we will see the number of dead and injured. That is why we are doing everything we can to ensure the necessary pace of work," Vorobiev said.
The purpose of the engineering work is to remove the collapsed roof, and all the facilities, equipment and necessary cranes are already at the site, the official added.
