The FSB said on Friday night that the shooting and fire occurred before a concert at the Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk, near Moscow. At least 93 people died as a result of the terrorist attack, according to the Russian Investigative Committee.
Russian special services have detained four suspects in connection with the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert venue near Moscow in the Bryansk Region, near the border with Ukraine, the Russian Investigative Committee said.
According to the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB), they are currently being transported to the capital Moscow.
The FSB added that following the terrorist act, the perpetrators intended to cross the border between Russia and Ukraine through relevant contacts in Ukraine.
"After committing the terrorist attack, the criminals intended to cross the Russian-Ukrainian border and had relevant contacts on the Ukrainian side of the border," the FSB said.
The terrorist attack was thoroughly planned, and the perpetrators had weapons prepared in advance in a cache, the FSB noted, adding that work is underway to determine all the circumstances of the incident.
Eleven people have been arrested in connection with the attack, including four who were directly responsible, the authorities said.
