MOSCOW (Sputnik) - On Sunday evening, three days of voting in the Russian presidential election came to an end. Putin won the election with 87.28% of the vote, according to the Russian Central Election Commission, with 100% of the ballots counted.
Mali's interim president for the transitional period, Assimi Goita, Congolese President Denis Sassou Nguesso and Libyan Presidential Council Chairman Mohamed al-Menfi congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin on his victory in the presidential election.
"I extend my warm congratulations to President Putin for the renewed confidence of his people, and wish him every success in fulfilling his high responsibilities. As a strategic and sincere partner of Mali, I reiterate our friendship to him," Goita said on X on Monday.
Nguesso welcomed the relations of friendship and cooperation between Congo and Russia and reaffirmed his "full readiness" to work with Putin to further strengthen ties between the two countries.
"We are pleased to extend our sincere congratulations to you on the occasion of your re-election as President of the Russian Federation and wish you success in carrying out the tasks assigned to you, which will add value to regional and international relations," reads a cable sent to the Russian president by Libyan Presidential Council Chairman al-Menfi.

Putin Wins Russia's Presidential Election With 87.28% of Vote: Central Election Commission
The three-day voting in the Russian presidential election ended on Sunday evening. Putin won the election with 87.28% of the vote, followed by the Communist Party's Nikolay Kharitonov with 4.31%, the New People party's Vladislav Davankov with 3.85%, and the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia's Leonid Slutsky with 3.2%, according to data from Russia's Central Election Commission after counting 100% of ballots.
