To fix it, the Global South should create an alternative to the SWIFT network so that it can do business without using the "imperialist currency systems," Abdisamad pondered. The guest then focused on Africa, saying that the continent is now "under occupation by the West" as the latter can install any "puppet government" anywhere in Africa. Moreover, the Western countries are also trying to transform the continent into military bases to "loot resources." The guest noted that in their attempt to isolate Russia, the Western countries got actually isolated by other states on the globe. This is the reason why Russia wasn't particularly affected by the Western sanctions. He wrapped up saying that the issue of sanctions is "gone forever," as it is "the last breath of neocolonialism."

The Multipolarity Forum took place on Monday in Moscow, Russia, where attendees from various countries discussed issues related to a multipolar world order, intercultural dialogue, preserving traditional values, countering Western dominance, cancel culture, and the continuing erosion of the family institution.
About 130 countries gathered at the
Multipolarity Forum with the common goal of promoting the multipolar system because "the world is fed up with the unipolar system,"
Abdiwahab Sheikh Abdisamad, CEO of the Afro-Asia Institute for Strategic Studies from Nairobi, Kenya told
Sputnik Africa on the sidelines of the event.
"Today is a historic day whereby more than 130 countries are coming together in common cause. That common cause is to advance the multipolar system because the world is fed up with the unipolar system. That's why they're coming together to defend their own common interests," Abdisamad said.
The guest continued by pointing out that the West is trying to
"recolonize" Africa and "dismantle" one country after the other, and that is why it's so important to fight it back by establishing a multipolar world.
"They're [the West] going to dismantle the African institutions and African government so that they can easily exploit and loot African resources left, right and center. That's exactly what they are doing. And so coming together and having a common defense against what you call the aggression of the unipolar system in fact is long overdue," the interviewee added.
Moreover, the international
financial system is also unjust and serves only the so-called golden billion, as Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier noted. To fix it, the Global South should create an alternative to the
SWIFT network so that it can do business without using the "imperialist currency systems," Abdisamad pondered.
"[...] The Global South can come together and do business together and trade together against what you call those imperialist currency systems, [and] I think, [this] is exactly what the world now requires, particularly in Africa," the CEO of Afro-Asia Institute for Strategic Studies said.
The guest then focused on Africa, saying that the continent is now "under occupation by the West" as the latter can install any "puppet government" anywhere in Africa. Moreover, the Western countries are also trying to transform the continent into
military bases to "loot resources." All these issues need to be addressed, otherwise the Africans will be "destroyed" by the West.
"Why are there so many military bases in Africa? Mainly because they're going to recolonize Africa. They're going to loot African resources, they're going to exploit African resources," Abdisamad argued. "Africa is fed up, [...]. The lack of development, visionless leaders installed by the West. And that's one of the issues Africa is going to address. Otherwise, the Africans are doomed, in fact, to [be destroyed by] those guys, those evil forces."
Abdisamad also spoke about cooperation between Africa and the Global South, calling for more movements to come together to protect common interests.
"[...] Unless we safeguard our interests, unless the Global South and Africa come in together and have a common development agenda, have a common financial system, and have a common defense pact [...] those guys [...] [will] destroy the world. Their old system has become against humanity [...]," the guest added.
And
BRICS can help Africa and the Global South to stand up for themselves, Abdisamad asserted, calling on African nations to join the bloc.
"BRICS is the only hope for Africa. That's why when BRICS was born, in African society, they felt a relief. [...] This is the only hope Africa and the Global South have. I will encourage the African societies, African states to join BRICS to enhance and advance the agenda of BRICS. And that is exactly where the future lies," the speaker said.
Lastly, Sputnik Africa discussed with Abdisamad the so-called isolation of Russia that the West is trying to promote. The guest noted that in their attempt to isolate Russia, the Western countries got actually isolated by other states on the globe. This is the reason why Russia wasn't particularly affected by the
Western sanctions.
"And that's exactly what the world realizes, if the sanctions do not affect Russia, which means the other world communities coming together to defend Russia, at least that will create a new impression," the interviewee said.
He wrapped up saying that the issue of sanctions is "gone forever," as it is "the last breath of neocolonialism."
"What I'm realizing right now is that there is the last breath of neocolonialism, or in other words, I can say, the last kick of the dying horse," Abdisamad concluded.
