About 1,000 Specialists Trained at BRICS Centers to Come to Work in Russia in Summer, Official Says
Western approaches to personnel training in Africa have become a form of neocolonialism, while Russia is not going to "siphon off the brains of African countries," said Oleg Ozerov, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry and Head of the Secretariat of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum.
About a thousand specialists trained at the
BRICS Labor and Educational Mobility Centers will come to work in Russia this summer,
the Chairwoman of the Russian part of the BRICS Women's Business Alliance, Anna Nesterova, told
Sputnik.
The Center's offices, where the specialists will receive training before going to Russia, will open in South Africa and Ethiopia, she said, adding that trilateral agreements on the matter have already been reached between
Russia and the two African nations.
"The Center's offices will train qualified specialists to work exclusively on a work visa in Russia. After the end of which they will all return home. Moreover, the selected personnel will not only be trained in certain professional skills, but also study the cultural, even everyday features of Russia," she noted.
The BRICS Women's Business Alliance is an association that aims to promote women's entrepreneurship and increase women's participation in the economic processes of the
BRICS countries.
The initiative to create the Alliance was first supported by Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2020 and later by the presidents of Brazil, India, China and South Africa.
