WASHINGTON (Sputnik) - Washington has lost touch with reality, talking about the likelihood of a direct clash between Russian and American troops, such rhetoric is unacceptable for a nuclear power, Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov said.
US President Joe Biden said Wednesday he believed Russia would attack a NATO ally after a victory in Ukraine.

"Such 'horror stories' are fabricated in order to justify to taxpayers and sober-minded political forces the fabulous expenses to 'deter' the Russian Federation. In an attempt to 'add fuel' to the fire of the Ukrainian 'proxy' war, [the US] finally lost touch with reality, easily discussing the likelihood of a direct clash between the armed forces of our countries," Antonov said, commenting on Biden's relevant statement.
