Earlier, the US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said that working with allies and partners to train Ukrainian pilots on F-16s and supplying Kiev with the fourth-generation aircraft is a priority for the US in the next few months.
The more destructive weapons are supplied to Kiev, the likelier it is that the situation will erupt into nuclear apocalypse, the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said on Tuesday.
"All actions aimed at strengthening the military component of the Kiev regime ultimately lead to only one thing - more casualties and a prolongation of the military conflict," Medvedev said, commenting on the delivery of F-16 fighter jets to Kiev.
"The more weapons are supplied [to Ukraine], the more dangerous the world will be, and the more destructive these weapons are, the likelier the scenario of what is commonly called a nuclear apocalypse becomes," Medvedev stressed.
Medvedev also noted that pumping weapons into Ukraine only prolongs the conflict.
"All actions aimed at strengthening the military component of the Kiev regime ultimately lead to only one thing - more casualties and a prolongation of the military conflict," he said.
Medvedev said that Ukraine's claims that it is not responsible for the sabotage attacks on Russian territory - namely, the recent attack on the Russian region of Belgorod - was a lie.
"Whatever the chatter in Kiev about sabotage sorties of this kind having nothing to do with them is all a lie, of course, an absolute lie," the politician said.
Speaking of the sabotage group that carried out the attack on the Belgorod region, the former Russian president described them as "scumbags" who should not even be taken prisoner.

"As for these scumbags - I can't call them any other name - you can characterize them in different ways. The only question is what to do with them. They should simply be exterminated like rats and not even taken into captivity," Medvedev remarked.

At the same time, the Russian politician pointed out that the Kiev regime and its sponsors in the US and the European Union were responsible for the saboteur raid in the Belgorod region.

"The responsibility for these [sabotage attacks] lies with the Kiev regime, and ultimately with its sponsors across the ocean, that is, Washington and the European Union countries, along with states such as the UK and others that have joined in. This is their direct and immediate responsibility," Medvedev stressed.

Medvedev also spoke about the AUKUS and QUAD alliances, calling them "unfriendly" because of NATO's influence on them.

"Some of the alliances that are being formed are almost unfriendly to countries in this region, at least that's how we view alliances such as QUAD, AUKUS, and some others related to the creation of partnerships with extra-regional players, because NATO is getting involved here," the politician noted.

As for friendly countries, Russia continues to develop military-technical cooperation with them, despite the fact that the main task is to achieve the goals of the special operation, Medvedev underlined.

"The issue of military-technical cooperation is still on the table - we are actively working on it - and despite the fact that a large part of our efforts at the moment is focused on achieving the goals of a special military operation, we nevertheless continue cooperation in this sphere with friendly countries as well," the top politician said.

The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council's remarks came in the wake of US plans announced on Tuesday to supply F-16s to Ukraine and to train Ukrainian pilots.

State Dept Says Provision of F-16s to Kiev 'Priority,' to Be Implemented in Coming Months
Russia sent a note to NATO countries over arms supplies to Ukraine. Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov pointed out that any cargoes containing weapons for Ukraine would be a legitimate target for Russia.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said that NATO countries were "playing with fire" by supplying weapons to Ukraine. The Kremlin announced that pumping weapons into Ukraine from the West would not contribute to the success of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations and would have a negative effect.
Lavrov also said that the US and NATO are directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine, "including not only by supplying weapons, but also by training personnel... on the territory of the UK, Germany, Italy, and other countries.
