MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The flow of Western weapons to Ukraine is only increasing and it is a fact, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday, when commenting on US investigative journalist Seymour Hersh’s statement that a group of European nations are urging Kiev to end the conflict.
Earlier in the day, Hersh said that Eastern European countries led by Poland are secretly urging Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to end the Ukraine conflict.

"I do not know how to react to the data of this journalist, we perceive concrete facts. We see that the flow of weapons, the flow of ammunition and equipment to Ukraine is increasing. The level of tactical and technical characteristics of the supplied weapons is also increasing. This is the fact that we observe," Peskov told reporters.

Recently, Britain's Defense Secretary Ben Wallace declared that its Storm Shadow missiles, that the British government has pledged to send to Ukraine, were either already in Ukraine or are on their way.
Although UK officials have privately assured that Kiev has promised not to employ the missiles to target destinations within Russia, Moscow remains skeptical. Ukraine's previous actions, such as indiscriminate and intentional attacks on cities in Donbass and attempted missile, artillery, and drone strikes on targets in Russia's interior, have left Russia cautious.
Last week, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell stated that the conflict in Ukraine could be halted immediately if Western nations and their allies ceased providing military assistance to Kiev.
Moreover, Russia has warned against further arms deliveries to Ukraine and stressed that by sending weapons the West is getting involved into the conflict.
Western nations have been providing military aid to Ukraine since Russia's special military operation began in February 2022. The aid encompasses both light and heavy weapons, including armored vehicles, tanks, missiles, drones, artillery, and ammunition.
In its turn, Kiev has repeatedly requested that the West furnish Ukraine with fighter jets, yet the request has been met with reluctance. Earlier this year, both Scholz and German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius stated that supplying fighter jets to Ukraine was not a priority.
