Israel currently has "more options than ever before" to attack Iran, and it is able to reach any target it wants, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday.
"Today, Israel has more options in Iran than ever before. We can reach any place in Iran depending on our needs," Netanyahu said at a graduation ceremony for Israeli military officers.
Israel's most important objective is to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, the prime minister added.
"Our thoughts are focused on the nuclear issue, and we do not take our eyes off this higher goal. I cannot describe in detail our plans to achieve this goal, for obvious reasons," Netanyahu said.
Earlier in October, a group of 39 Iranian lawmakers reportedly asked the Iranian Supreme National Security Council to revise the country's defense doctrine, in particular to allow for the development of nuclear weapons because of the threat of an Israeli attack.
