Russian Defense Ministry Says 95 Russian Soldiers Returned From Kiev-Controlled Territory

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - On September 14, Russia and Ukraine exchanged 103 prisoners each in a swap facilitated by the UAE. This followed a similar exchange of 115 prisoners on August 24.

The Russian Defense Ministry said on Friday that 95 Russian servicepeople were returned from the territory controlled by Kiev as a result of the negotiation process.
"As a result of the negotiation process, 95 Russian servicepeople were returned from the territory controlled by the Kiev regime. In return, 95 Ukrainian prisoners of war were handed over," the statement said, adding that all Russian soldiers are currently in Belarus, where they are being provided with the necessary psychological and medical assistance.

The United Arab Emirates has provided humanitarian mediation for the return of Russian military personnel from Kiev-controlled territory, the ministry added.
