Zimbabwe's President Signs Two-Year Term Extension Into Law: Act

Emmerson Mnangagwa has signed into law a constitutional amendment extending his current five‑year tenure, originally scheduled to end in 2028, according to an act published in the official Government Gazette.

Lawmakers backed the term extension last month.

ℹ The 83-year-old leader first took office in 2017, after Robert Mugabe was removed from power.
