The two countries could not tolerate accusations for “their crimes committed in Gaza,” political sociology researcher Ahmed Rouadjia told Sputnik Africa.
The suspension of ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan resulted from a “plot orchestrated” by the US and Israel, the speaker stressed.
“For them, international law should only be applied against the poor and the victims, not the aggressors,” he added.
Previously, Karim Khan had been suspended following allegations of sexual assault.
