Sputnik Signs First Cooperation Agreement with Sierra Leonean Media
Sputnik news agency and radio and Sierra Leonean newspaper Concord Times have signed a cooperation agreement. The two outlets agreed to strengthen collaboration in content exchange and joint projects. Concord Times has become Sputnik's first official partner in Sierra Leone. The document was signed by Vasily Pushkov, Director of International Cooperation at Sputnik, and Alusine Sesay, Managing Editor of Concord Times.
During the signing ceremony, Alusine Sesay remarked: "This agreement is a novelty that will strengthen not only the relationship between Sputnik and Concord Times, but also the relationship between Russia and Sierra Leone. We will be committed providing information from Sierra Leone as the agreement implies".
Vasily Pushkov added, "Sierra Leone has a dynamically developing media environment. Our partnership with Concord Times will enable direct experience exchange between journalists and joint efforts to address the challenges facing the media industry".
