DRC and Uganda Sign 6 Agreements to Strengthen Multisectoral Partnership: Congolese Presidency

On May 11, Presidents Yoweri Museveni and Félix Tshisekedi met in Kampala for "cordial and productive talks," the presidency stated.

The signed agreements cover the following areas:

🟠trade;
🟠exports and free zones;
🟠tourism;
🟠telecoms and internet;
🟠public administration;
🟠search and rescue.

The parties also discussed joint projects in hydrocarbons (oil and gas), energy, and cross-border electrification, it added.

The signed MoUs ensure immediate implementation.

The visit "reinforces the shared destiny of the two nations," President Museveni noted.
