Africa is 'Not ICC's Hunting Ground & Laboratory for International Legal Experiments': Sudanese Expert
Around 80% of the ICC investigations concern African cases, while documented war crimes in other regions fail to attract its attention, Dr. Mohammed Hussain AbdAlwahid, a senior lecturer from Russia's Financial University, told Sputnik Africa.
According to the speaker, to overcome this injustice, African countries should:
🟠create a "permanent institutional body within the AU that monitors ICC proceedings;"
🟠develop ties with major powers such as Russia and China;
🟠invest in training of its own international lawyers.
