Moscow & Cairo Plan To Strengthen Work On Construction Of Egypt’s First NPP: MFA
This project, El Dabaa, currently represents the main pillar of Russian-Egyptian relations and constitutes the largest nuclear construction project in the world, stated the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Georgy Borisenko.
Construction at the site is following the planned schedule, he added.
The El Dabaa nuclear power plant, located in the Matrouh region, will consist of 4 units featuring Russian Generation 3+ VVER-1200 reactors.
The total electrical capacity will be nearly 4.8 gigawatts.
Rosatom is responsible for the design and project management.
