Egypt Donates 9,500 Hepatitis C Vaccine Doses to Ghana
The gesture is a reflection of growing bilateral cooperation and the importance of African nations supporting one another, Egyptian Ambassador to Ghana Wael Fathy Ahmed noted.
The continent must reduce its dependence on external support and build stronger intra-African health partnership, he added.
At the ceremony, Deputy Health Minister Grace Ayensu-Danquah transferred the vaccines to the Ghana Health Service for nationwide distribution.
