Ukraine Plays Dubious Role in Destabilization of Sahel: Analyst
In an interview with Sputnik Africa, Bationo Hassane recalls that in Dakar, "the Ukrainian ambassador officially claimed to have provided support to a terrorist group."
The Burkinabe political analyst asserts that some of the kamikaze drones used against the Malian army "did indeed come from Ukraine."
Today, faced with the loss of influence in Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger, Western countries "will use Ukraine to equip terrorist groups."
In contrast, Hassane emphasizes that Russia "has never organized genocides" nor "openly launched attacks against countries," calling for a clear-eyed analysis of alliances in Africa.
