First Driverless Trains to Start Running in Moscow Metro at the End of 2026: Mayor
The complexity of the project lies in the fact that the Moscow metro has the shortest intervals between trains - 90 seconds, Sergey Sobyanin told Sputnik.
"For this, completely different requirements are needed, there must be a different reaction, a different reliability. This, of course, creates difficulties and additional challenges, but I hope that we will overcome them," he said.
The mayor also said that a Federal Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems had been created in Moscow to provide a methodology for developing drones and automated control systems for the entire country.
