South African Defense Minister Angie Motshekga Honors Moses Kotane in Moscow

A South African delegation arrived at the Novodevichye Cemetery to lay a wreath at he monument to the late communist leader, a Sputnik Africa correspondent reported.

Moses Kotane, a respected figure in South Africa's fight for majority rule, died in the Soviet Union in 1978 after seeking treatment for a stroke. His remains were repatriated and reburied in South Africa in 2015.
