Sudanese Armed Forces Report Regaining Control of Presidential Palace in Khartoum
The paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) had occupied the presidential palace in Sudan's capital since the outbreak of the civil conflict in the country in April 2023.
The presidential palace in Khartoum was recaptured this Friday from the RSF after a fierce battle, Sudanese army spokesman Nabil Abdullah said in a statement broadcast on state television.
"Our forces completely destroyed the enemy's fighters and equipment, and seized large quantities of equipment and weapons," he said.
