The Sudanese Armed Forces are close to completing the final phase of the operations to regain control of the remaining parts of Khartoum state, Commander of the army's armored corps Nasr al-Din Abdel Fattah said on Friday.
The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) made significant progress in central Khartoum, backed by armored vehicles, driving the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) out of several key areas of the city, SAF spokesman Nabil Abdallah said on Sunday.
According to Abdallah, among the liberated facilities are the al Mansheiya bridge, the Nile Towers, a residential and commercial tower, and the Sherwani bus station, reportedly the largest transport hub in central Khartoum.
