The recent joint military exercises, dubbed Security Belt 2025, conducted by Iran, China, and Russia off the Iranian coast, have drawn significant attention from geopolitical analysts, highlighting the strategic implications of this collaboration.
The recent joint military exercises, "Security Belt 2025," involving Iran, China, and Russia, signal a significant shift in global power dynamics and aim to end the West's dominance, according to Dr. Darlington Ngoni Mahuku, a lecturer in the Department of Peace and Governance at Bindura University of Science Education.
“From a geopolitical perspective, the joint military exercises involving Iran, China, and Russia point to a growing strategic partnership among the three countries,” Dr. Mahuku told Sputnik Africa.

He emphasized that Security Belt 2025 reflects “demonstrates a desire to create alternative power and security frameworks, decoupling from western-dominated institutions and forging new paths for regional solidarity and stability.”

“The joint exercises demonstrate that Iran, China, and Russia are geared at strengthening their partnership and, in the process, ending NATO dominance, which is a Western military alliance that has been constantly misused in an endeavor to maintain Western hegemony and dominance,” Dr. Mahuku stated.

He added that the exercises serve as a reminder that Western powers can no longer dictate global politics unilaterally and that “emerging powers in partnership with Russia and China are now asserting their influence,” he said.
