Russia More Than Doubles Its Wheat Exports to Some African Countries

Earlier, the Russian federal center Agroexport reported that agricultural exports from Russia to African countries increased by 19% in 2024, surpassing $7 billion.
Russia has more than doubled its wheat exports to some African countries, including Morocco, Nigeria, and Cameroon.
124,000 tonnes of wheat were shipped to Morocco, a 2.3-fold increase compared to the same period in 2024, when the amount was 54,300 tonnes.
Shipments to Nigeria increased 2.7-fold, from 48,900 tonnes to 131,400 tonnes.
Shipments to Cameroon increased 2.2-fold, from 23,200 tonnes to 50,000.
The growth occurred between the beginning of the year and March 9, according to the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor).

Russia's Agricultural Exports to Africa Surge by 19% in 2024, Surpassing $7 Bln
Grains are the mainstay of Russian agricultural exports to Africa. In 2024, they accounted for 87% of the total value of deliveries.
Last year, Russia exported agricultural products to Africa worth over $7 billion, a 19% increase compared to 2023. Shipments were made to 45 countries on the continent.
