Russian Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matvienko said she discussed Syria, the Middle East, and Ukraine with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Russian Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matvienko said she discussed Syria, the Middle East, and Ukraine with Turkish President
Recep Tayyip Erdogan. "We exchanged questions on Syria, the Middle East, and Ukraine," Matvienko told reporters.
A significant point of concern for Matvienko was Ukraine's actions regarding global
energy security.
"I voiced our concern that the Kiev regime continues its destructive activities aimed at destroying global energy security. Attempts to damage the infrastructure, including the Turkish Stream and the Gas Stream, continue. I asked to draw the Turkish side's attention to this," she said.
