BAKU (Sputnik) - On Wednesday, a ceremony of exchanging documents signed between Azerbaijan and Somalia was held with the participation of Aliyev and Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud. The parties signed memorandums of understanding on cooperation in public services, green energy, education, and defense.
Azerbaijan may supply defense industry products to Somalia, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said.

"Azerbaijan has a strong potential in the defense industry, producing many types of defense equipment. I believe that cooperation in the field of defense, training, as well as possible joint production of defense equipment and its supply from Azerbaijan to Somalia should be among the important areas of our cooperation," Aliyev told reporters on Wednesday.

The signed documents show a shared commitment to enhancing bilateral relations in different areas, the Azerbaijani leader added.
