US President Donald Trump said on Saturday that he had ordered airstrikes on terrorist facilities in
Somalia, adding that no civilians were harmed as a result of the attack.
"This morning I ordered precision Military air strikes on the Senior ISIS [Islamic State, IS, banned in Russia] Attack Planner and other terrorists he recruited and led in Somalia. These killers, who we found hiding in caves, threatened the United States and our Allies," Trump wrote on his Truth Social media platform.
The strikes "killed many terrorists without, in any way, harming civilians," the US leader added.
