MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The practice of conducting combat operations of the Russian armed forces has been significantly updated during the special operation, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Russian armed forces Lieutenant General Vasily Trushin said.
This made it possible to seize the initiative and launch an offensive in almost all directions, Trushin added.
"During the special military operation, the practice of conducting military operations has been updated... Ultimately, this allowed us to seize the initiative and launch an offensive in almost all directions," he said in an interview with the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper.
The changes affected the issues of gaining air supremacy and fire superiority over the enemy, the disorganization of its control system, the organization of counter-battery warfare, long-range fire damage, the use of high-precision weapons in conditions of intense electronic warfare, protection from drones, and the use of new means of destruction such as barrage ammunition and FPV drones, Trushin explained.
