Egyptian contacts with the new Syrian administration are ongoing, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty stated, noting that the Egyptian government interacts with all parties without interfering in Syrian affairs.The minister also talked about his country's relations with Turkey. He described Turkey as "an important and friendly country," highlighting that "there are very close visits at the ministerial level between the two countries."The minister also confirmed that Egypt's presence in Somalia was at the Somali government's request and had the backing and authorization of the African Peace and Security Council.Abdelatty also mentioned that Egyptian-American relations were moving forward "according to the principle of strategic balance." However, he acknowledged that this did not prevent "the existence of differences and disagreements in visions."
