This agreement follows a recent visit by CAR President Faustin-Archange Touadera to Russia, where he met with President Vladimir Putin. During the visit, the leaders discussed strengthening ties in agriculture, livestock farming, education, economics, and security.
A Cooperation and Collaboration Agreement between Russia’s United Russia political party and the Central African Republic's United Hearts Movement (MCU) was signed during a ceremony held via videoconference in Bangui on Monday.
The event was attended by Alexander Bikantov, the Russian Ambassador to the Central African Republic (CAR), and supported by the Russian House cultural and educational center.
The agreement was signed by Simplice Sarandji, Executive Secretary of the MCU, and Andrey Klimov, a member of the Bureau of the Supreme Council of the United Russia party.
"The signed agreement confirms the parties' desire to deepen inter-party dialogue, cooperate in the field of socio-economic development, exchange experience in lawmaking, and implement joint projects," the Russian embassy said.

Last week, Russia and the Central African Republic signed a cooperation agreement focusing on geology and subsoil use. The bilateral meeting was attended by Russian Deputy Minister of Natural Resources Sergey Anoprienko and CAR's Minister of Mines, Rufin Benam Beltoungou.
The memorandum outlines collaboration in regional geological exploration, technological development of mineral resources, assessment of mineral reserves, prospecting and evaluation of minerals, and conducting laboratory and analytical research.
