During a bilateral meeting, Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama, recently inaugurated, and Burkinabe President Ibrahim Traoré agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation and pursue economic development strategies.Mahama stressed that Burkinabe and Ghanaians are the same people "divided by colonization."He also expressed solidarity with the Burkinabe president regarding terrorist attacks and pledged to collaborate for peace in Burkina Faso, emphasizing that "without peace, there can be no development."The presidents also signed various agreements within bilateral cooperation, particularly a cooperation agreement on a railway and memoranda of understanding in security, sports, and education.
