Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on the sidelines of the Valdai International Discussion Forum that the emerging multipolar world order must be one that's without hegemony, without any "losing countries or peoples." He added that Moscow does not see the West as an enemy and does not pose the question of "us or them."
The world is moving towards the establishment of a new system of international security with the participation of countries of the Global South and East, while the collective West objects to this, Alexander Bortnikov, Director of the Federal Security Service (FSB), said during the conference of Heads of Security and Intelligence Services of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

"Today's meeting is taking place in the context of a fundamental restructuring of the world order. The BRICS Summit recently held in Kazan confirmed this. A multipolar political and economic space is being formed, and a new, 'inclusive' system of international security is being created with the participation of countries of the Global South and East," FSB chief Bortnikov said.

He added that the collective West, led by the US, strives to maintain its dominance and continue its predatory colonial policy.

Growing Role of BRICS Reinforces Importance of Global South, Russian MFA Says
Earlier, Dmitry Kiselev, the director general of the Rossiya Segodnya international media group, told a panel organized by Sputnik that Russia is forced to wage a defensive war against the West in order to establish a new world order.
Kiselev argued that the peace that came after World War Two only lasted for a generation, while the world order that should emerge after the end of the conflict in Ukraine would secure peace for generations to come.
