On Saturday, France's top diplomat Jean-Noël Barrot said in an interview to a Western broadcaster that Paris could agree to the use of SCALP long-range missiles to strike deep into Russia.
The French foreign minister "has just put Paris on the list of potential targets for Russia" by his dangerous remarks implicating Paris' permission for Ukraine to launch missile strikes on Russian territory, French political analyst Nikola Mirkovic told Sputnik Africa.

"France is already involved in the Ukrainian conflict because it trains soldiers, offers strategic assistance, as well as financial and military aid. But this is over the top," Mirkovic said.

The political analyst noted that the French minister should understand that Russia is part of Europe; therefore, it is in the interest of Europeans that this conflict ends.
