Russia, CAR Presidents Discuss Development of Bilateral Relations
MOSCOW (Sputnik) - In July, Russian Ambassador to Bangui Alexander Bikantov said that Russia expects to continue fruitful cooperation with the Central African Republic (CAR) in the military sphere following the UN Security Council's decision to lift the arms embargo on the country. He added that Moscow is Bangui's main partner in this field.
Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation with CAR President Faustin Archange Touadera and discussed the development of
relations between the countries in political, trade, economic and humanitarian spheres, the Kremlin said in a statement on Wednesday.
"Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Central African Republic Faustin Arcange Touadera. The state and prospects of further development of friendly bilateral relations in political, trade, economic, humanitarian and other fields were discussed," the statement read.
