Despite its vast potential, Guinea's agriculture sector is struggling. Among potential solutions is international collaboration, including that with Russia, a global agricultural leader, to share advanced technologies and help Guinea revitalize its sector and expand its market reach.
Facely Condé, a Guinean student in Russia, told Sputnik Africa that he aims to benefit his country in the field of agriculture with his new knowledge acquired at a Russian university.
"The methods used are not the same. Here [in Russia], everything is done with technology. But in Africa, where I was, it was mainly physical labor," Facely Condé said.
Studying agronomy at the Kaliningrad branch of Saint Petersburg State Agrarian University, which he chose for its high-quality training, the young man aims to unlock his country's untapped agricultural potential through technology and help young graduates integrate into the sector.

"The university encourages students to do practice, research," he added, noting that professors encourage students to express their opinions, broadening perspectives.

Beyond the academic experience, Facely Condé finds the living environment in Russia to be very favorable, mentioning affordable living costs and housing. "Russia offers us a living environment that is very favorable to students," he concluded.
