On Friday, the Russian House in Dar es Salaam hosted the unveiling of a bust of Alexander Pushkin, the iconic Russian poet and father of modern Russian literature.Created by acclaimed Russian sculptor Alexander Kozinin, this bust is the first Pushkin monument in Tanzania, following previous installations in Ethiopia, Congo, and Eritrea.The event, celebrating Pushkin’s 225th anniversary, brought together over 150 guests, including representatives from Tanzania’s National Museum, Central Library, National Arts Council, embassy staff, and alumni of Russian and Soviet universities.
