Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni and Faustin Archange Touadéra, the President of the Central African Republic (CAR), met to discuss improving transport infrastructure between their countries, when Touadéra joined his Ugandan counterpart to celebrate 62 years of Uganda's independence.
The CAR has the potential to become a valuable trading partner for the East African Community, Yoweri Museveni stated during independence anniversary celebrations.

Uganda Celebrates 62 Years of Independence: A Journey of Struggle and Progress
He announced a joint agreement with the CAR to encourage the Democratic Republic of the Congo and South Sudan to build roads connecting the CAR to Uganda.
The Ugandan president directed Uganda Airlines to explore the possibility of establishing flights to the CAR to further strengthen the connection between the two countries.
Touadéra expressed his admiration for Uganda's development, calling it an inspiration for his country.
