The key event will be the high-level week, with annual debates taking place from September 24 to 28 and on September 30. The Russian delegation will be led by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who is expected to speak on September 28.
Tanzania is always open for dialogue with Moscow and is prepared to receive
Sergey Lavrov if he visits, the country's envoy to the UN, Hussein Kattanga, told
Sputnik.
"Definitely yes. Tanzania is always open," Kattanga said when asked about meeting with Russian authorities this year on food security, energy, or investments.
The envoy said if Lavrov is coming down to Tanzania, he would have no problem meeting with him.
