ECWC announced the launch of its new electric vehicle (EV) maintenance workshop in the Kality area of Addis Ababa, marking the first dedicated facility of its kind in the country. ECWC CEO Yonas Ayalew highlighted the importance of this initiative, stating that it will not only provide much-needed services but also train professionals to meet the growing demand for EV maintenance expertise.ECWC is partnering with international businesses from Qatar, China, and other Asian countries to develop EV maintenance services in Addis Ababa. This initiative will see ECWC manufacture EV chargers locally and eventually assemble electric vehicles.Beyond electric vehicles, ECWC is currently managing 70 construction projects across Ethiopia, collaborating with local companies in sectors like cement and housing. The company aims to significantly increase its annual profit and revenue within the next five years, demonstrating its ambition to become a major player in the Ethiopian economy.
